Tube type lube oil cooler pressure testing

• Isolate the cooler, close saltwater inlet and outlet, close lube oil inlet and outlet valves.

• Put blanks between valves & Shell of lube oil side.

• Open the testing flange Cover & put air connection assembly flange with a calibrated pressure gauge and a control valve.

• Slowly admit service air upto pressure 4 bar, after reaching 4 bar close the control valve.

• Keep the system pressurised for 30min. Pressure should not drop more than 10%.

• If pressure drop is more, then there is a leak & carry out leak test.
